The San Teodoro area, which is an integral part of the Tavolara Punta Coda Cavallo marine reserve (one of the most important sites in the Mediterranean), can boast of some of the most beautiful beaches in Sardinia, characterised by fine sands, as well as wonderful granite cliffs which have been sculpted and modelled into unusual and surprising shapes by the forces of nature. It is easy to reach the beaches in the territory of San Teodoro. The nearest beaches to the town are La Cinta (following the Via del Tirreno), Cala d'Ambra (following via Cala d'Ambra) and l'Isuledda (following via Isuledda, a lateral street of Cala d'Ambra). To get to the other beaches you have to take the main road SS 125 in direction Olbia, along the SS 125 you'll come to 3 different crossings. Following the first crossing (in the small village Lu Fraili) you'll arrive at the beaches of Puntaldìa and Lu Impostu. The second crossing is in Lutturai, direction Coda Cavallo, along the street you'll find the beaches Cala Brandinchi, Salina Bamba, la Salinedda in the south, Cala Suaraccia and Capo Coda Cavallo in the north. The third crossing is in the small village Montipitrosu and leads you to Cala Ghjlgolu, Punta Molara and Cala Ginepro.
