Protected seaside area of Tavolara Capo Coda Cavallo

Just close to San Teodoro it is possibile to go on suggesting excursions for Tavolara and Molara islands that make part of the protected seaside area of Tavolara – Punta Coda Cavallo.
Tavolara island has a rectangular base with vertex as Punta Timone, Punta del Papa (where it’s located the famous Grotta del Papa, considered a long time ago the natural refuge of monk seal), Punta la Mandria and Coda di Terra.
For joining the protected area there are different possibilities and means of transport.
On the main beaches of the territory it is possible to rent a rubber dinghy with or without skipper. For more information or booking please look at the rent list.
From Porto San Paolo different boats go and back from Tavolara island and for having.

Orosei Gulf's

Orosei gulf could be considered one of the most fascinating and suggesting stretch coast of Mediterranean sea. Cala Gonone harbour is 70 km far from San teodoro and is situated on the South part of the gulf where big rock bastions protect fabulous caves (Bue Marino Grotto and Fico Grotto) and beaches with transparent and turquoise sea(Cala Luna, Cala Sisine, Cala Biriola, Cala Mariolu and Cala Goloritzè).
Boat sightseeing towards Orosei gulf start, first of all, from Cala Gonone harbour and La Caletta harbour.

La Maddalena arcipelago

La Maddalena Archipelago is situated on the North East part of Sardinia and is composed of four major islands close to the coast: Santo Stefano, Caprera, La Maddalena, Spargi and other three on the North side : Budelli, Razzoli and Santa Maria. There are also some other small islets without name.
For visiting those islands it is possible to leave, most of all, from Palau harbour that is 70 km far from San Teodoro or it is even possible to leave from Costa Smeralda or Santa Teresa di Gallura.
